HP SIEM and the CCIE Agent Search or How Our Work is Like the Iliad by Homer

Folks often wonder what companies are doing about security and who to turn to when the two C words enter the conversation; complexity and cost. The complexity of the enterprise will vary and the cost of the solution will run the spectrum of bean counter hysteria. Who emerges strong in a discussion like this? Why the Network Security Expert of course. Who better to cut through the complexity? Who better to justify cost?

Heck what do I know? After all I am the CCIE Agent right! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

I am the CCIE Agent, that is right, that is not wrong wrong wrong, I am a geek and have supported many more vendor technologies, and the needs of the resellers we support here at Vicom require our very sharp recruiting team to excel in many IT and Networking specialties. One such area is Security Incident Event Management, SIEM and the flavor of the month is HP. After the 2010 purchase of ArcSight by HP the art and craft of this solution has caught on. Yup, HPE ArcSight SIEM has us working overtime to fill some very impressive positions in the Northeastern USA.

Listen up people we need security leaders in a world filled with network security threats. Remember, the Trojan Horse made an appearance in the stories penned by Homer. Something old has long since become something new.

To date we have filled HP roles in Athens, not Georgia or Texas y’all, but the real one in Greece. Our quest is so much like the Iliad that also began in Greece with the wedding of Peleus and Thetis. Our odyssey in search of more HPE customers and candidates was not quite so epic, but none the less impactful on the population of networking professionals. When folks need HPE expertise we get that call too!

Back here in the USA we have been working diligently in support of security professionals with certifications and skills as diverse as the blended enterprise of today. Our odyssey is a journey that includes the staffing of folks that will do what CCIEs do for channels; allow them to achieve reseller certifications to grow business and influence.

Yes, we do HP, Juniper, IBM, Avaya, Palo Alto, Microsoft, F5, VMware, and Cisco too just to mention a few.

This past week the Olympic Torch was lit in Athens, yup you know it, Greece analogy again. We are also circumnavigating the globe in an effort to attract your attention.
